Diagnosed with IBS and Fructose Malabsorption in 2009 Carolyn has spent the last 9 years trying to overcome her IBS symptoms. The low FODMAP diet and a love for the therapeutic benefits of herbal tea has become a life saver in times of persistent flare ups which has led to the only tea company worldwide to be Certified FODMAP Friendly.

My STORY

I have spent the last 12 years suffering from gut issues. My journey began after giving birth to my third child in 2005. After an undiagnosed bout of Giardia (a parasite found in contaminated water) lasting 4 months the nerve endings in my bowel were damaged causing hypersensitivity and inflammation.

4 years later in 2009 I moved to the outskirts of Melbourne along with tank water and suffered another bout of Giardia. My new health practitioner wanted to dig a bit deeper and found I malabsorbed Fructose after undergoing a series of hydrogen breath tests and I was also diagnosed with IBS.

Conclusion: Parasite-Hypersensitivity-IBS-Food intolerance
